and West. But lesser known are the stories about the people behind the
building of the Canadian Pacific Railway, their discoveries and
accomplishments -- stories of the Scottish clan that set up the company, the
Americans they hired to build it, the discovery of a pass through the
mountains, the discovery of hot springs, the setting up of Canada's first
national park and the discovery and first use of natural gas as a heating
fuel.
